Sad News: A legendary Alabama football coach resigns his coaching post at…
Scott Cochran, the former strength and conditioning coach for Alabama, has left his post at the University of Georgia.
Before the 2020 campaign, Kirby Smart brought Cochran from Alabama to Georgia to serve as the Bulldogs’ special teams coordinator.
From the start of Nick Saban’s tenure in Tuscaloosa until the end of 2019, Cochran was a member of his staff.
His exaggerated demeanor won him over both players and fans, and many believe it played a major role in the mindset Alabama brought to every game.
In 2021, Cochran took a leave of absence from the Georgia program and later claimed to be struggling with many addictions. However, in July, he shared on social media that he had been sober for two full years.
From 2001 to 2004, he was employed by Saban at LSU as well.
In an announcement from the University of Georgia, it is said that Cochran is leaving to “pursue other opportunities.”
It’s unclear if Cochran would still fit in at Alabama, but what is certain is that both players and supporters of the school adored him greatly.

Paul Constantine, a strength staff member with the Crimson Tide, will be joining the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons as part of new Alabama football head coach Kalen DeBoer’s staff-building efforts, according to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports on Tuesday. Since 2022, Constantine has held the position of director of applied science for Alabama.
Since 2020, he has worked as a strength staff member with the Crimson Tide. After Matt Rhea left to join the New Orleans Saints, Constantine assumed the director’s position.
In conjunction with David Ballou, the director of sports performance at Alabama, Constantine oversaw the strength and conditioning program. When veteran strength coach Scott Cochran left UA in 2020, Nick Saban replaced him with a two-man lineup.
Prior to joining the Crimson Tide in 2020, he had collaborated with both Rhea and Ballou at Indiana. Janese Constantine, his wife, once served as the women’s basketball team’s assistant coach for Alabama.
After a few days, Constantine will be the third employee from Alabama to accept a position in the NFL. He joined offensive line coach Scott Huff and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, who both accepted positions with the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, who made their announcement on Tuesday
According to reports, he will become an associate director of strength and conditioning on Raheem Morris’ staff as the new head coach of the Falcons. Morris was brought in to take Arthur Smith’s job after Atlanta’s 7-10 campaign the previous year.
