The Mirror can confirm that tennis star Andy Murray and his longtime partner Kim Sears are engaged.
After eight years together, the 27-year-old Scottish sports star proposed with a pricey diamond ring last Wednesday.
Before beginning to plan their wedding, the pair is rumored to be enjoying their engagement.
According to a source, Andy thought over the ring for a long time before picking out the design and picking it up last week. On Wednesday, he made the proposal.
Kim replied, “Yes,” right away. They have supported one another through good times and bad, and they are utterly devoted to one another.
“They’re just going to have fun until they start organizing everything for their big day.”
Andy’s family is reportedly ecstatic about the news, especially his mother Judy, who appeared on this season of Strictly Come Dancing.
In order to compete in the International Premier Tennis League in the Philippines today, Andy—the first British guy to win Wimbledon since 1936—flew there.
However, he did not allude to the information, tweeting instead, “I’m heading to the Philippines for the first time today, should be an enjoyable vacation… Are there any recommendations you could make to first-time visitors visiting Manila?

She is frequently spotted sitting next to Andy’s 55-year-old mother Judy, supporting him when he plays tennis.
The intensely private pair first connected at the US Open in 2005 while Kim was traveling with her tennis coach father, Nigel.
Their encounter occurred long before he became well-known and amassed an estimated £30 million in wealth.Andy was her first serious relationship when she was just seventeen years old.
“I’m lucky,” he remarked. Since I’m in the spotlight, I know she’s not with me.

When Murray gave Kim their border terrier, Maggie, as a 21st birthday present, it solidified their connection.
“It was definitely one of the best days of my life,” he remarked. I’ve always been a dog lover, and right now we feel like a happy family.
2010 saw them part ways for six months, and at that time, there were rumors that Maggie had a part in their reconciliation.
Presently, Maggie and their pet terrier Rusty reside in a multimillion-pound mansion owned by the couple in Oxshott, Surrey.
Murray made a joke earlier this year about getting married after Wimbledon.
“We are getting married right after Wimbledon, should be a beautiful day,” Murray said in response to a fan’s inquiry about when he would pop the question.
Kim later refuted his assertion on Twitter.
“FYI, nobody is getting married,” the writer stated. We need a sarcastic disclaimer for his tweets.
However, Murray disclosed in his autobiography Seventy-Seven: My Road to Wimbledon Glory that he wished to have a family with Kim.
