Dwyane Wade Issues Four-Word Response To Angel Reese’s Caitlin Clark Trolling
Dwyane Wade praised Chicago Sky rookies Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso’s performances in a recent NBA Finals advertisement starring basketball champions.
Reese and Cardoso’s crown gesture in the trailer appeared to target Caitlin Clark. The two won the NCAA Women’s Championship with their respective teams, defeating Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Reese fueled her preconceptions about Clark by repeating her phrase from the advertising in her most recent social media post, which read “CHAMPS ONLY.”
Wade, on his part, saw a post in the sky that said “Wait for it,” referring to Reese and Cardoso’s moment. The NBA legend shared the message, stating, “It was only right.”
It’s unclear if Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso were intentionally trolling Caitlin Clark, but given their history, this is a common assumption.
However, Dwyane Wade finds no problem with it and looks eager to fuel the controversy. At the end of the day, Reese and Cardoso can truly claim to be champions, while Clark cannot—at least not yet.
