Like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese lost her WNBA opener against the Dallas Wings in Texas after making her Chicago Sky debut.

The forward played well and finished with 12 points, although Arike Ogunbowale scored more than her.

Both Natasha Howard and Teaira McCowan recorded double-doubles. In other news, the Atlanta Dream won their first game of the season.

The forward scored 12 points, but Teaira McCowan and Natasha Howard both recorded double-doubles, while Arike Ogunbowale scored 25 points to lead the way.

With just over three minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Wings were behind 75-73, but Ogunbowale’s incredible three-pointer gave them a boost and helped them win the game.

In addition to Rhyne Howard’s 25 points, Tina Charles had 21 points and 14 rebounds, while Haley Jones added 14 points.
Layshia Clarendon recorded her first career triple-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Sparks from losing their opening game of the season. Kia Nurse and Dearica Hamby scored 23 and 20 points, respectively, for the hosts.

At the same time, 2.3 million people watched the 22-year-old make her debut with the Indiana Fever, setting a record for WNBA viewing. However, the team lost 92–71 to the Connecticut Sun.
