Boxing News: Francis Ngannou Promises to Win the March Super Fight and Win Anthony Joshua’s Soul
Anthony Joshua’s soul will be taken by Francis Ngannou in their March 8 boxing superfight in Riyadh.
The following statements made by the British boxer in a January 15 interview with DAZN inspired the French-Cameroonian fighter to talk:
Everything about me is at stake in this fight—my body, mind, soul, and spirit. I’m not thinking about any championship belts right now, Joshua clarified.
You have to steal the spirit and soul of another person. And I must admit that I’m excited about the challenge.
Ngannou is of the opinion that the exact reverse will occur. The Predator addressed Joshua’s comments in a February 4 interview, saying:
Never say never, they say. You do realize that nothing is impossible? Ngannou disclosed to HiP, We’re going to find out in two months exactly how strong Anthony Joshua is. We will find out, and my prediction is that the opposite will occur. I will be the one to take his soul.
Everyone seems to be in agreement that Joshua will win this forthcoming fight easily. Even if Ngannou is somewhat of an underdog against Tyson Fury in late 2023, boxing legends and pundits are still warning AJ about the contest. Ngannou faced huge odds as an underdog against Fury in the past.
Joshua was forewarned by one of the greatest heavyweight fighters of all time, Lennox Lewis, about the perception that meeting Ngannou would have.
