Following the delay of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua has a three-right plan.
Before attempting to win the undisputed heavyweight championship in 2023, Anthony Joshua is scheduled to battle Francis Ngannou and Filip Hrgovic.
Following the postponement of Tyson Fury’s undisputed battle against Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua has outlined a three-fight schedule.
Joshua is hoping that his wins against Filip Hrgovic and Francis Ngannou will put him in the driver’s seat for a rematch for the world title.
On March 8 in Saudi Arabia, he will take on former UFC champion Ngannou. Fury and Usyk’s fight was postponed because of the former’s training injury.
The undisputed titles would be awarded to the Joshua vs. Ngannou winner, but that won’t happen until the following year because Fury and Usyk need to battle again.
The head of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, thinks Joshua might face Fury if both British fighters prevail in their next matches.
The time worked perfectly for AJ to stop Ngannou and for Fury to win, Eddie Hearn said on iFL TV. Although we are grateful for the fight and the rematch, you already know how things will end. Come on, you understand the ways of His Excellency.
When the biggest fight in the sport’s history is in front of you, you will undoubtedly find a method to satisfy everyone and make the fight worthwhile, but for now, that’s meaningless.
That battle is something we need to happen, and it is occurring now, two months after our last fight. It appears more likely that AJ will challenge Filip Hrgovic for the world title if he wins, which is acceptable, and that we will then face the victor of Fury vs. Usyk. AJ simply says, I’m going to beat everyone, so sign me up for everything.
Fury recently revealed his wishlist for five fights, which included a hypothetical doubleheader with Joshua, and Hearn said he wants The Gypsy King to continue boxing for as long as feasible.

This is wonderful to hear. Keep Tyson Fury in the boxing world; without him, it would be a poorer or worse place to be, Hearn continued.
He’s got the bit in his teeth, like I told you. That’s good to see Tyson Fury acting that way. He predicts two Usyk fights, but I think there will only be one. Good luck to him. As far as music goes, I adore it.
You know what? If Hrgovic has to win, he will beat Ngannou and bring him down. Then Tyson Fury will be knocked out by him.
