Francis Ngannou’s Trainer Says “Bad Things Will Happen” To Anthony Joshua On March 8
Dewey Cooper, the trainer of Francis Ngannou, has warned Anthony Joshua that “terrible things will happen to” him when they face off on Friday, March 8, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Since switching from mixed martial arts to heavyweight boxing, Francis Ngannou has only had one victory. Due to his outstanding performance in his 2023 boxing debut against Tyson Fury, he became an overnight sensation in the boxing world.
Remember that despite being a newbie in the game, Ngannou felled Fury on the canvas in the aforementioned match and lost the fight by split decision.
That gave him the chance to fight Anthony Joshua, a two-time heavyweight champion, in Saudi Arabia on Friday; Cooper predicts the Cameroonian crossover fighter to win by knockout.
Can he go one better? Cooper asked in an interview with Sky Sports. Indeed. That is the plan’s objective.
“We told you guys that Tyson Fury might win the fight and that he would at least drop him once. We mean what we say; this is not imagination or poetry.
“I understand Joshua is your guy and you should be rooting for him, but be aware of his opponents.” He is facing a man who has shown everyone wrong about life from an early age.
Cooper went on, “He has enormous power.” It makes sense in both fists. Joshua will have terrible things happen to him if he lands clean.
“He has excellent precision and a sharp attitude. There is going to be a fierce battle.
“That initial excursion will yield benefits beyond anyone’s wildest dreams for us. He will have greatly improved as a fighter since his first fight against Tyson Fury.
He has a lot of options for winning. For Francis Ngannou, the word “impossible” just means “unpossible.”
