Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh describes former OC Greg Roman’s exit procedure.

Following their playoff defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Baltimore Ravens decided to split ways with offensive coordinator Greg Roman.

They are currently looking for the best candidate to take over Roman’s position in 2023.

The group will spare no effort in the selection process and has compiled a strong list of potential candidates.

Head coach John Harbaugh discussed his part in Roman’s leaving with reporters during his end-of-season press conference.

He was very clear that parting ways with the seasoned coordinator was not something he did quickly; hours of discussion preceded the season’s conclusion.

Because it’s a continuous process, I won’t be able to walk you through every step of it, Harbaugh said. Throughout the season, we have daily conversations that are ongoing and consistent.

Thus, I believe that we spoke on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday immediately following the season. Just hours passed, during which the talk covered a wide range of topics and angles.

We are discussing anything from families to kids to the squad to game plays—we are talking about everything. We are partners, but we are also friends, despite everything.

It just naturally found its way to that spot where, in my opinion, both he and we thought that was the greatest. We had just realized where we were.

Supporters can find comfort in the knowledge that Harbaugh and the team are working hard to put together the greatest coaching staff possible to help Baltimore contend for a Super Bowl in 2023, even as they wait to learn the identity of the Ravens’ new offensive coordinator.
