Positive updates about the health of the New York Knicks are coming out.

On Friday night against Orland (7:30 p.m. ET, MSG), head coach Tom Thibodeau provided a positive report on both of the fallen Knicks as they got ready for the Magic’s visit, even if neither OG Anunoby nor Mitchell Robinson will be available.

“OG Anunoby is currently playing five-on-five and going through contact drills,” Tom Thibodeau stated. It seems like he’s drawing nearer, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic. Though he hasn’t been cleared to play to his full potential yet, Thibodeau stated he’s now day to day.

Due to an elbow ailment, Anunoby (elbow) hasn’t played since January 27. After he arrived in a late December trade with Toronto, New York went 12-2 in January, but with him out, they have only gone 5-9.

In addition, Thibodeau provided encouraging news regarding Mitchell Robinson, who has been sidelined since December due to an ankle ailment.

According to Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News, Thibodeau stated that “he’s making nice steady improvement.”However, he hasn’t communicated or done anything of the sort. BRUNSON WILL BE QUESTIONABLE FOR TUESDAY’S GAME AGAINST THE HAWKS

Due to a knee strain, point guard Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks will be labeled as doubtful for Tuesday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, according to Ian Begley of SNY. After he was forced to leave Sunday’s game in Cleveland after the first minute, it’s possible that this is the most recent indication that the Knicks have escaped a serious medical disaster concerning the health of their franchise face.
