LeBron James might emerge as the winner in the NBA All-Star 2024 voting due to…

The NBA All-Star Game of 2024 is drawing near.

The tournament was last held in Indianapolis in 1985, and this year it will be held there. Though the procedure has evolved over time, fan voting continues to be a major factor in determining All-Star rosters.

On January 4, the NBA announced the results of the first round of fan voting, which began on December 19. The usual suspects, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, and LeBron James, were at the top of the lists in each conference.

Naturally, the aforementioned past MVPs were at the top of the list, but a number of younger players have also risen to the top. As the All-Star festivities draw only one week away, review the most recent voting results from every position group in every conference.MORE: How to select the starting NBA All-Stars for 2024

What is the procedure for choosing the NBA All-Stars?

Fans can cast ballots for the starters of the 2024 NBA All-Star Game between December 19 and January 20.

Once more, half of the votes cast will be cast by fans to choose the starting lineup for the All-Star Game. Half will be divided between current players and a panel of media representatives. Two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference are on the All-Star roster. One ballot may be submitted daily by fans.

There won’t be an All-Star Draft this year as the league reverts to an Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference structure. Still, each conference’s top vote-getter will be designated as a captain.

The head coaches of the NBA will select the reserves for the All-Star Game. Adam Silver, the commissioner, will select any injured substitutes that are required.
