Aaron Gordon of the Denver Nuggets made his first public appearance since his dog attacked him last week. Gordon explained what had transpired and the reasons behind his belief that his dog had given him a hard time.
According to Gordon, “I guess that’s a little humiliating, but not so embarrassing that I can’t talk about it” (source: Denver Post). “During the season, I don’t drink a lot. I think I may have consumed a touch too much eggnog. My dog and I were playing rough, and I believe that my dog became a bit agitated and chomped down. gave me a taste. He nipped my hand as I was essentially wresting him away from me. To put it another way, I was (messing) around with my dog, and you find out when you (mess around).”
No. 50 stood by his dog and insisted that he is, in fact, a good boy, even though he had taken a few bites.
“He is a decent young man. He is a decent dog,” Gordon remarked. Really bonded. Very charming. incredibly powerful. Fantastic puppy.”
Aaron Gordon, a star for the Denver Nuggets, needed 21 stitches after his dog attacked him.
Gordon’s mysterious ailment was initially reported on Wednesday by Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Aaron Gordon, a forward with the Denver Nuggets, will lose time due to facial and hand injuries sustained from a dog bite on Christmas, according to Charania. “According to league sources, Gordon needed 21 stitches to heal the cuts on his face and right hand, which is his shooting hand, after the dog bite.”
Gordon made his comeback to the Denver starting lineup in their Monday night triumph over the struggling Charlotte Hornets. The former Arizona star pulled down two rebounds in addition to scoring a lean 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor.
