Joe Mixon and DJ Reader Talk About The Bengals’ Tenure Ending: “I am exactly where I am meant to be.”
After the Bengals dealt Mixon to the Texans, Reader inked a contract with the Lions.
CINCINNATI — This week, Cincinnati had to say goodbye to a few prominent players as they missed out on signing DJ Reader before he joined Detroit and dealt Joe Mixon to the Texans.
Mixon threw himself into his love for Cincinnati and secured an extension with a guaranteed $13 million on top of the trade.
In reference to the deal, Mixon stated, “It was definitely shocking.” “I’m still experiencing strong emotions about it, but it took some time, and I can always feel at home there. It just makes me really happy. I really adore everything about the way their followers were, and, you know, the way they welcomed me back. We restored Cincinnati’s lights and brought it back to life. I’m going to bring the exact item in here.”
One of the top five running backs in team history, Mixon has had a significant impact on the supporters since 2017. The reader also made a significant impact in a shorter amount of time.
“Events occur. Relationships don’t always work out, and you have to go on. During his opening news conference, Reader stated, “I’m really, really excited about this better opportunity.
He continued talking about his arrival in the Motor City.
Reader observed, “You constantly assume that everything will work out for you, in the best way possible, where you are.” Thankfully, though, I firmly believe in the existence of God’s plans for me, and I am meant to be wherever he wants me to be. You know, I think this is the right spot. I’m enthusiastic about what they’re doing. The energy in the place was incredible from the moment I arrived today. Seeing some familiar faces made me very pleased. And that was a very satisfying feeling. I’m right where I should be as a man.”
A fresh generation of rushers and run-stoppers is now expected to step up for Cincinnati.
