For the third consecutive year, the Boise State men’s basketball team is ranked among the top three seeds going into the Mountain West tournament.
In this year’s tournament, which gets underway at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Wednesday, the Broncos (22-9, 13-5 Mountain West) are the third seed.
As a top-five seed, Boise State receives a first-round bye.
As a result, the Broncos’ opening game will take place on Thursday (9:30 p.m. MT, CBSSN) against the victor of the Wednesday matchup between No. 6 New Mexico and No. 11 Air Force.

On January 31, the Broncos traveled into The Pit in Albuquerque and defeated the Lobos, 86-78.
On March 2, they triumphed over New Mexico at home, 89-79.

and Jaelen House are two of the conference’s most seasoned guards. Mashburn is a senior who leads the squad in scoring per game with 15.1.
Graduate student House leads the conference with 61 steals, averages 15 points per game, and is second on the team in assists with 91.
Donovan Dent, a sophomore, is among the league’s highest scoring point guards.
He is extremely difficult to stop because of his quickness, especially when he drives to the basket.
In the Lobos’ opening defeat to Boise State of the current campaign, he scored 31 points.
Dent leads the club in assists with 166 and scores 14.9 points per game on average.
