Jaylen Brown Knows it Will Take the Whole Boston Celtics Team to Win
When asked about his role with Tatum in the absence of the Latvian unicorn following the Celtics’ 118-84 rout of the Miami Heat in Game 5, Brown only responded that Boston’s success is dependent on more than just him and his on-court teammate.
Is there anything more Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum need to do without Kristaps Porzingis?
“No,” replied Brown. “I believe all we need to do is keep playing the way we’ve been playing our entire careers, showing growth along the way, and having faith in our teammates.” I believe that as a team, we will prevail if we are to win. Additionally, we must be able to make the most of each person’s unique strengths. We should, in my opinion, be more concerned with letting the game come to you while still doing all it takes to win.
It’s difficult to dispute, though, that the Celtics will require excellent play from Brown and Tatum if they are to make it to the Finals and finish as the last club standing in the NBA in 2024.
Tatum scored 21.8 points on average in the opening round versus the Heat, while Brown averaged 22.8.Derrick White, who averaged 22.4 points per game, also made a fantastic contribution.
