In San Antonio, the Celtics will play the Spurs and this year’s top pick, Victor Wembanyama, to start the new year.
The Boston Celtics are back on the road following back-to-back victories over the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors following a ten-day vacation to the West Coast.
That begins on Sunday with a matchup against the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama, the first overall pick this year.
Luckily, Al Horford, who missed the second half of Boston’s back-to-back due to tradition, Kristaps Porzingis (left calf injury management), and Jayson Tatum (left ankle sprain) were all out for the visitors. All three are not listed on the team’s most recent injury report.
Not on there either is Jaylen Brown, who sustained a lower back contusion during Boston’s 126-115 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas.
The two-time All-Star helped the Celtics defeat the Raptors 120-118 on Friday night, contributing 31 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.
