News: Tough loss at home for Boston Celtics due to expensive mistakes.

Despite having two starters injured at the start of the game and three by the final buzzer, the Boston Celtics managed to fall short against their bitter rival, the Los Angeles Lakers. The Celtics put up very little effort or focus from the beginning of the game, and before long, Boston was down by 16 points.

The Celtics only made it to the free throw line seven times compared to Los Angeles’ 26 attempts, shooting just 33.3% from beyond the arc. One of the worst losses of the season is inevitable when you add in 15 turnovers to the Lakers’ 7, 4 steals to Los Angeles’ 4, and an overall lack of effort for almost the whole game.

NBC Sports Amina Smith, Eddie House, and Brian Scalabrine of Boston got down to discuss the disappointment they witnessed from Boston on “Postgame.”

Joe Mazzulla of Boston discusses the Celtics’ disheartening loss to the Lakers.

Joe Mazzulla, the head coach of the Boston Celtics, is not always easy to read. In the closing moments of Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, he benched his starters. When those starters aren’t performing at the necessary level at the right moment, deep bench players may theoretically win the tilt. But after the game, Mazzulla did not appear to be too bothered by his star players’ subpar performances in a game of such importance. “Our play was not as intense as theirs. He provided an explanation for what went wrong: They played inspired.

Members of the Lakers team took advantage of the fact that there were several players available for 70 minutes and 35 shots, he continued. We simply didn’t play as hard as they did, too.

At the postgame press conference, the team’s defensive and deflecting Mazzulla fans—this season with a little more oddity and a little less angst—became a nicer version of themselves.

The head coach of the Celtics attempted to minimize his team’s incapacity to do fundamentals on a regular basis by making difficult comparisons to personal relationships, but he also made it apparent that this was not the end of the world when it occurred.

He questioned,I’m mad, but, like, what are you going to do about it?” We won’t be prepared for practice on Saturday if we hold onto this one, as I mentioned the other night. We’ll be unprepared for Memphis.

To be fair, given the objectives of the team and the circumstances at hand, this is the proper course of action. especially considering that Mazzulla isn’t the one committing the errors. However, if the Celtics are serious about winning a championship this summer, these games and the amount of attention they receive must be permanently abandoned.
