The Magic also posted on social media about his death, saying: ‘We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former comrade, Brandon Hunter. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the whole Hunter family.
T.J. Ford, an ex-NBA point guard, also spoke out about Hunter’s death, writing on Instagram, “Lost another good brother.” Rest easy, my friend.
The reason of death has not yet been confirmed. After a playing career that took him beyond the NBA and into Europe, Hunter founded Hunter Athletes Management.
Hunter’s website claims him as having a global network of contacts and works closely with players to develop a’strategic career strategy’.
Hunter left the Magic in 2005 and played for teams in Greece, Italy, and Israel.
Hunter was born in Ohio and attended university there. He was drafted by the Celtics in 2003, 56th overall in the second round, and wore the number 56 to match his NBA move.
