Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, is now the only one with that name.

Pass rusher Josh Allen of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who formerly went by the same name, has declared that he has changed his name to “Hines-Allen.”

The statement that Hines-Allen made is as follows:

“Tradition endures forever, and I’m honoured to uphold it on the back of my jersey, continuing the proud and joyous tradition of my family who have proudly adopted the Hines-Allen surname.”

The addition to his name is a tribute to his mother’s side of the family, according to Jaguars Wire. Additionally, the name extension runs in the family.

Myisha Hines-Allen is a player for the Washington Mystics of the Women’s National Basketball Association. In addition, sisters Kyra and LaTorri Hines-Allen were basketball players at Cheyney University, Virginia Tech, and Towson.

According to the Jaguars team account, Hines-Allen will keep wearing the No. 41 jersey bearing his name:
