Mitchell made fun of Caitlin Clark, saying that it wasn’t fair because it was her “normal shot” and she should have backed up anyhow.

In addition to her determination and aptitude for assisting her team’s offensive flow, Clark has earned a reputation for taking shots well over the 3-point line, with some of them swishing from close to the half-court emblem of any team.

Almost forty feet away from the hoop, Clark attempted his first try to break the NCAA’s overall scoring record with a three-pointer that struck the rim rather than the cylinder.

Clark was surrounded by her teammates after making the game-winning shot, but Mitchell took over by making light of the unfair advantage.

Mitchell pointed her first at the half-court line and then at the base line. “She needs to start all the way back there since her regular shot starts very near,” he said.
