Read what Iowa guard Caitlin Clark said after the Fever drafted her with the top overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
I haven’t found a more ideal fit.” Caitlin Clark was selected first overall by Indiana Fever
Caitlin Clark joined the Indiana Fever officially on Monday night at 7:40 p.m. ET.
The official Fever draft card was sent in to the league in about fifteen, possibly twenty seconds, according to general manager Lin Dunn.
A few moments later, she announced, “Caitlin Clark is coming to Indianapolis,” before heading back to the draft war room. “She will have a significant impact on our franchise as well as our city.”
With the fifteenth pick, the Fever subsequently selected Ohio State’s 5-foot-11, fifth-year guard, Celeste Taylor.
Following his on-stage embrace with WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert and his telecast interview, Clark took questions from the media assembled at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). View the complete transcript by clicking the link below.

I’m thrilled. I’m eager. Who do you think will be your main opponent this season?
