Breaking news: In winning the Buenos Aires title, Diaz Acosta stuns the Alcaraz………

To win the title of Buenos Aires, Diaz Acosta stuns the champion of Alcaraz.

After upsetting Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinals, Argentine wild card Facundo Diaz Acosta defeated Nicolas Jarry on Sunday to win his first ATP title in Buenos Aires.

Diaz Acosta, ranked 87th in the world, won 6-3, 6-4, securing the victory on the sixth match point.

The 23-year-old left-hander Diaz Acosta has only won four games at the tour level before to this past week. Now, he will be ranked 59th in the world.

After defeating Alcaraz, ranked second, in straight sets on Saturday, Chilean Jarry, ranked number twenty-one in the world, celebrated the greatest victory of his career.

Alcaraz has now lost nine events since winning Wimbledon in July of last year as a result of that setback.

The Fritz-Paul ATP Delray Beach final is moved to Monday due to rain.

The ATP Delray Beach Open all-American final between ninth-ranked Taylor Fritz and world number 14 Tommy Paul will now take place on Monday due to rain, the tournament’s organizers said on Sunday.

The defending champion Fritz is aiming to win his seventh career ATP championship and make history by being the second player to win the Delray twice, following Australian Jason Stoltenberg, who triumphed in 1996 and 1997.

After John Isner’s victories in Newport and Atlanta in 2017, Paul might become the first American to win tour-level titles in back-to-back weeks after claiming his second career ATP trophy in Dallas last week.

Paul is riding a seven-match winning streak, which ties the greatest of his career, coming into the match against his longtime friend.

In their ATP matchup, Paul and Fritz are 2-2; Paul prevailed in the most recent encounter, which took place in the Acapulco quarterfinals of the previous year.

Fritz will aim to make it six straight wins in the ATP finals.

Fritz lost his next four finals after winning his maiden championship at Eastbourne in 2019, but since moving to St.

Petersburg in 2021, he has won titles at Indian Wells, Eastbourne, Tokyo in 2022, Delray Beach, and Atlanta in the previous year.
