The Chicago Bulls announced on Friday that forward Patrick Williams would miss the rest of the season due to foot surgery, as revealed by imaging.

Surgery has already shortened Williams’ season once before. The 23-year-old had surgery on his left wrist, which caused him to miss the majority of his sophomore 2021–22 season.
According to Kevin Anderson of NBC Sports, Williams will have been healthy for just 65% of the Bulls’ regular-season games played throughout his time in Chicago by the end of this fourth season.
After failing to reach an agreement on an extension with the Bulls by the October deadline, Williams is in the final year of his rookie contract, which is set to expire. This summer, he will be eligible to become a restricted free agent and receive a qualifying offer worth $12.97 million.
