GOOD NEWS: the cincinnati head coach Scott Satterfield sign a player worth and 87 million with……

CBS: If Cincinnati cuts RB Joe Mixon, JK Dobbins is one of the free-agent options to take his spot.

Joe Mixon was a 1,000-yard rusher for the Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League for the fourth time in his seven seasons.

Why, then, would the Bengals think about cutting ties with Mixon? Midway through March, the seasoned running back is expected to get a $3 million roster bonus. Additionally, his 2024 salary cap impact would come to roughly $8.85 million.

Mixon has one year left on his current contract with the Bengals after agreeing to a contract restructuring last July.

Mixon may become a cap casualty as Cincinnati searches for someone predicted to make less than him when NFL free agency opens on March 11.

The Bengals are one of three possible destinations on CBS Sports’ Jordan Dajani’s list for JK Dobbins, the running back for the Baltimore Ravens and former Ohio State Buckeye standout.

In 2020, Dobbins finished as a rookie with 805 running yards, nine touchdowns, and 120 receiving yards. But an ACL tear kept him out of the 2021 campaign.

In 2022, he participated in eight games before sustaining another knee injury. And in Week 1 of the previous season, he suffered an Achilles tear.

Dobbins stated in January 2023 that if Lamar Jackson had been the quarterback for the Ravens, they would have prevailed in their playoff game in Cincinnati. Jackson was hurt and was replaced by Tyler Huntley.

In the last regular-season game of the 2020 season, Baltimore defeated Cincinnati 38-3 in January 2021, with Dobbins amassing 160 rushing yards on 13 carries.
