Cincinnati (AP) — Jonathan India, a Cincinnati Reds infielder, was scratched Monday after being injured by a batted ball during batting practice, adding to the team’s already lengthy injury list.
The Reds also announced that reliever Tejay Antone would undergo season-ending surgery on his right arm, most likely on Friday. Antone left Sunday’s 3-1 loss to the New York Mets after tossing one pitch and gripping his right elbow.

Antone made the team out of spring training this year, allowing one earned run in two innings over four appearances. He was put on the 15-day disabled list before the start of a four-game series against Milwaukee, and right-hander Carson.
