Breaking news: Former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell stated that he will be coming bank becauce of…….

Jim Caldwell, the former head coach of the Detroit Lions, declared that he would be buying a lion.

Jim Caldwell, a former head coach of the Lions, may be considered for two head coaching positions.

Jim Caldwell, the former head coach of the Lions, has not yet been given another chance, but he seems to be a strong contender for at least two spots.

Predicted on what transpires in Week 18, Jim Caldwell led the Detroit Lions to their last postseason appearance (2016). Even though the team finished 9-7 in 2017, then-general manager Bob Quinn hired Matt Patricia, taking advantage of the chance presented by the team missing the playoffs.

Since being let go by the Lions, Caldwell has been linked to head coaching positions on several occasions; he even had two interviews with teams this past season—the Chicago Bears and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

But at 67 years old—his 68th birthday is on January 16—and having never had a coaching position since resigning from his position as the quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins before the 2019 season due to health issues, it may not come again for Caldwell as a head coach.

In a recent interview with the 33rd Team, Caldwell expressed his desire to return to the position of head coach but conceded that he might lose out to others who have the opportunity.

According to The 33rd Team, he stated, I have a strong desire to come back in the league as a head football coach  Not everything has to be about me.

There are plenty of other excellent options available. Maybe I’ll be left out in the cold since I’d want to see some of those guys be hired. That would be wonderful.

Is Jim Caldwell a possible contender for (at least) two head coaching positions?

With two games remaining in the season, the Denver Broncos fired head coach Nathaniel Hackett and are now searching for a replacement coach.

Denver is probably leaning toward hiring a head coach, so Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio added Caldwell to his list of possibilities.

Jim Caldwell: Before Matt Patricia took over, Caldwell guided the Colts to Super Bowl XLIV and got the dysfunctional Lions playing better.

A month ago, our friends at Predominantly Orange pointed out that Caldwell might be a great fit for the Broncos.

The Indianapolis Colts are expected to choose Jeff Saturday as their long-term head coach. However, they must do a thorough search.

Drake Wally of SI.com said that Caldwell will return to Indianapolis as a contender who fulfills all the requirements they should consider.

Is Caldwell the flashy and brilliant choice? Not even near. Whatever happens in the future, Payton and Harbaugh are currently leading the NFL coaching race.

But no one is talking about how great Caldwell would be for the Colts, who are probably going to pick a young quarterback and need a head coach with experience who has seen and done it all in the NFL.

Caldwell might very easily select the Colts if he had to choose between the Broncos and the Colts, even just to accept an interview.

The Broncos will probably be stuck with Russell Wilson for at least another season before they can think about accepting the loss and moving on, but they are starting over at quarterback.

The Arizona Cardinals, who fired Kliff Kingsbury, will probably start their own head coach search around the same time next week, as will the Carolina Panthers.

Caldwell would benefit from speaking with both; thus, the former head coach of the Lions might have a busy schedule of interviews. Of course, if he so desires.
