Supporters have praised Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff greatly for achieving something that no other quarterback has been able to do in decades.
During his Tuesday appearance on 97.1 The Ticket, Detroit’s seasoned signal-caller expressed his desire for artist Kid Rock to go to a Lions game.
“I think the only guy, I don’t know if I’ve seen him at a game yet, would be Kid Rock,” stated Goff. That sounds like a lot of fun. The audience would probably like that.
Despite having a large following, the musician’s political views have made him a divisive and contentious figure.
Social media was quickly used by fans to voice their unease and mild surprise at the 29-year-old making his wish known to the public.
The Detroit supporters’ chants and enthusiastic cheers during Sunday’s playoff game at Ford Field undoubtedly touched Goff.
“That’s the greatest (crowd experience) I’ve ever been in front of,” he replied. “Our supporters truly do bring it. Now, the question is: Will they surpass themselves this week? However, that was really amazing, and I felt like I had very unique support from them.”
There was much discussion before the playoff game victory about whether or not Goff deserved a long-term contract extension.
Now, most people firmly believe that the front office ought to extend to him a fair deal to stay at Motown for the foreseeable future.
In his weekly radio talk, he also mentioned how playing in Motown would be very tempting to free players.
“If you want to play for a real genuine dude (Dan Campbell) who cares a whole hell of a lot about his players, come over here,” Goff added. It’s an enjoyable area to play. He keeps things lighthearted and enjoyable while still holding us to a very high standard.”
