NFC Coach of the Year is Dan Campbell, according to some media.

According to the 101 Awards, Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell became just the second coach in the team’s history to win NFC Coach of the Year.

The 101 Awards have announced that Dan Campbell, the head coach of the Detroit Lions, is the 2023 NFC Coach of the Year.A total of 101 football media people who regularly cover the sport cast their votes for the 101 Awards. Here is a list of all 101 voters.

This award should not be confused with the one given out for Associated Press Coach of the Year at the NFL Honors presentation, which takes place before the Super Bowl.

Campbell is one of the committee’s two conference choices for Coach of the Year, along with Demeco Ryans of the Houston Texans.

The Campbell’s Lions set a number of franchise records in 2023. The Lions have won 14 games this season, including the playoffs, which is a record for the team. In addition, they’ve won two more playoff games this year than they have since winning their previous title in 1957.

The Lions won their first divisional championship since 1993, their first home playoff game since 1993, and their first postseason victory since 1991 under Campbell’s leadership.

Campbell’s players have continuously praised him for his exceptional leadership throughout. Quarterback Jared Goff and center Frank Ragnow referred to Campbell as the greatest leader they had ever encountered only last week.

Following the team’s divisional round victory over the Bucs, Goff remarked, Dan’s the best leader I’ve ever been around and has developed this culture we have and our belief in one another quite considerably.

After the most recent victory, Ragnow told NBC, He’s the best leader I’ve ever been around by far. Simply genuinely adores his boys. The same guy each and every day. I have so much to say about the man.

Only two Lions coaches have ever won this honor, including Campbell. He joins Wayne Fontes, the 1991 winner—coincidentally, the only previous (and last) occasion the Lions have advanced to the NFC Championship game.
