On Thursday, former President Donald Trump hosted a town hall with Tulsi Gabbard in Wisconsin; however, he was unaware that it was a town hall until it began.
This is not based on confidential information; rather, it is exactly what Trump said to the LaCrosse crowd. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel recorded the entire talk, including his recently formed opinion on IVF procedures, and uploaded it to YouTube. However, he begins to relate how he realized he was giving a town hall meeting rather than a speech at 1:24. Trump stated to Gabbard:
I assumed that after I arrived, we would give a speech. I’ve prepared a speech just for you. I was prepared. “Sir, you’re doing a town hall,” they remarked. “Ohhhh, nobody told me that,” I exclaimed. “Who’s doing this?” I asked. “Tulsi,” they exclaimed. That’s at least good news, I said. I must admit that I’ve been a fan of hers for a very long time. I was thus completely ignorant. We’re going to give you a fantastic speech tonight, so I’m reviewing some stuff while I’m in the air.
We were going to give you a speech to remember. “No, sir, it’s a town hall,” they replied. “Why doesn’t anybody tell me this stuff?” I exclaimed. Furthermore, I have no notion for whom we are doing this. Is it intended for a network? Maybe it’s on all of them because I watch a lot of television everywhere.
