Max Eisenbud, Emma Raducanu’s agent, has responded to her detractors during a turbulent period following her US Open victory.
When Raducanu, at 18 years old, raised the trophy in Flushing Meadows in 2021, she became the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam in tennis history.
However, since then, injuries and early losses have dogged her career. Additionally, Eisenbud reminded Raducanu that he had to complete everything backwards.
Even after her historic success in New York more than two years ago, Raducanu is still struggling to establish herself on the tennis circuit.
The British player, rated 150th in the world, was participating in only her fourth professional match when she took home the US Open title. Her greatest performance to far has been making it to the September 2022 Seoul semifinals.
In her brief professional life, the 21-year-old has experienced a number of physical setbacks, most recently an eight-month sabbatical following surgery on one ankle and both wrists.
This indicates that Raducanu hasn’t been able to establish herself as a star after winning the US Open, which has raised numerous concerns and criticisms over her play.

However, Raducanu’s representative has since issued a plea to those who were skeptical about her, asking them to refrain from being spiteful when discussing the British No. 7.
All things considered, I believe the media has done a pretty excellent job—especially the British media, which has it tough. Eisenbud stated, I just think people shouldn’t be spiteful, on the podcast Served by Andy Roddick.
