Emma Raducanu: Wild card into California’s Indian Wells tournament awarded to the former British No. 1
Emma Raducanu received a wild card for the Indian Wells tournament the next week after receiving one for Miami.
This means that she will play in the Sunshine Double; watch more than 80 events a year, including the US Open, live only on Sky Sports Tennis.
Emma Raducanu will compete live on Sky Sports Tennis in the main draw of the Indian Wells tournament next week after receiving a wild card.
The former US Open champion is currently ranked 252 while she recovers from triple surgery on her ankle and wrists, but she has mostly been able to participate in prestigious events thanks to wild cards.
Following a first-round loss to Anhelina Kalinina in Doha earlier this month, Raducanu returned home to train in London after competing in four competitions so far this year, winning three of them.
The 21-year-old has headed to Los Angeles to compete in the prestigious Masters 1000 event, which gets underway next week, where she made it to the fourth round the previous year.
The 43-year-old Venus Williams and the 33-year-old Caroline Wozniacki, together with former world No. 1 Karolina Pliskova and 2021 Indian Wells champion Paula Badosa, have been invited to the Indian Wells tournament alongside the British player, who was awarded a wild card into the Miami Open next month on Thursday.
Laura Robson and Marion Bartoli of Sky Sports Tennis examine Raducanu’s mistakes more closely after she was eliminated from the Qatar Open.
Fans will now have access to tennis programming around-the-clock thanks to Sky Sports Tennis on Sky and NOW, which has been confirmed as the new home for tennis in the UK and Ireland.
More live tennis than any other platform will be available on Sky Sports, with over 4,000 matches from over 80 tournaments on the ATP and WTA Tours each year, along with complete live coverage of the US Open.
