Everton‘s prospective owners 777 Partners are reportedly planning to sack manager Sean Dyche if and when their takeover of the club is completed.

In September of last year, the Miami-based business reached an agreement to buy Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1% majority ownership in the Toffees; however, they are still awaiting Premier League permission.

The Premier League informed 777 Partners in a letter last month that they are “minded to approve” their ownership of the Merseyside team.

They still demand guarantees, nevertheless, about their financial sources and their capacity to support the team monetarily and furnish documentation of their financing for the club’s new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

The American company issued a statement earlier this month amid worries about these issues, stating that they are “confident in its ability to fund both the transaction and the club’s three-year business plan” and that they have already given the Premier League the pertinent information.

If 777 Partners is successful in acquiring Everton, extensive adjustments will likely be made to enhance the team’s on-and off-field success. Football Insider claims that there may even be changes in the dugout.

According to the article, 777 Partners intends to oust “firefighter” boss Dyche and name a “exciting” replacement.

After replacing Frank Lampard as manager of the Toffees in January 2023, Dyche successfully guided the team out of the relegation zone. The team finished the previous season two points above the bottom three, having defeated Bournemouth 1-0 on the final day of play.

The 52-year-old has managed Everton for just 32.1% of his career, and his team has struggled mightily to score goals this season in the Premier League; only bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United (30) has scored fewer than the Toffees (32), who have scored the fewest goals from open play (16) of any team in the division.

For the most part of his tenure at Goodison Park, however, Dyche has been forced to operate with one hand tied behind his back due to the club’s financial situation and two distinct point deductions from the Premier League.

For violating the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, Everton was first punished 10 points in November of last year. However, their punishment was subsequently lowered to six points after an appeal.

The Toffees were subsequently docked a further two points for the same offense in a different time period, although they have now declared their plan to file an appeal.

As Everton’s manager, Dyche has overseen 56 games. Last weekend, the Toffees defeated Burnley 1-0 at home to secure a much-needed victory, marking his 18th victory.

Even though they have a game against 18th-place Luton Town coming up, Everton is only two points above the relegation zone with seven games remaining in the Premier League.
