Sean Dyche apologises to Everton star after 'playful clip' goes wrong on training trip - Mirror Online

It has been such fun to welcome stars to Goodison Park instead of having to watch them go, and it heralds the start of a new chapter of optimism at the team.

It appears that the takeover will happen soon, and Everton will also have added Iliman Ndiaye as their third summer addition.

But eventually, this bubble will have to implode, and that will unavoidably involve a sale.

Who will leave Everton this summer is still the big question, though?

 Beto leaves Evertons

The Englishman has already had one deal fall through, but more Premier League teams are expected to show interest.

If that happens, Sean Dyche would only have two striking alternatives for the club’s final season at Goodison Park: Beto and Youssef Chermiti.

Not to add that the former of that Portuguese pair has been said to be leaving, with Beto’s interest in Fenerbahce being well-established.

But the most recent information about his future was provided by journalist David Anderson, who provided a brief but important update on the 26-year-old: “I’ve been informed that Everton is in negotiations with Marseille regarding Iliman Ndiaye, but they are not in contact with Fenerbahce regarding Beto.”

Beto or Dominic Calvert-Lewin?

It appears Dyche must decide what to do given that Beto and Calvin-Lewin are both associated with exits and that their respective departures have a number of benefits and drawbacks.

He naturally took a shine to the former Sheffield United player during the previous campaign, appreciating his more measured playmaking that allowed other players to find space.

Even though he only managed five goals throughout the season, the Portuguese option cannot be ignored because to his disruptive style.

To go along with their formidable defense, the Toffees believe that Ndiaye will help bring their fractured attack together. Nobody was especially prolific for the team last season.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Everton is replaced by Beto during the Premier League match between Everton FC and Burnley FC at Goodison Park on April 06...

However, it doesn’t appear clear who the 24-year-old will partner with on the field.

Although Calvert-Lewin is the much safer option on the field due to his history of playing in a two-striker system with Richarlison, Beto may end up being the better financial choice in the long run given his uncertain contract status.
