Breaking news: Everton Football Club confirms the signing of Jesper Lindstrom following…

It appears that Everton is getting close to making their fourth summer deal, and this one might be the most intriguing.

Tim Iroegbunam is an unknown addition, but Eliman Ndiaye promises to provide some magic, and the new player in question looks to offer a little bit of both, leaving supporters eager to see him in royal blue.

It’s evident that the club’s lack of activity in the market in recent weeks was only related to Amadou Onana’s transfer to Aston Villa, and now that it’s official, they can resume investing.

Thus, it seems that another striker may not be far behind Jesper Lindstrom, who Evertonians will soon be able to welcome to Goodison Park.

Everton close in on Jesper Lindstrom transfer

Everton’s attempts to sign the Danish winger appeared to be making progress yesterday, following weeks of rumours and what appeared to be conversations.

The Athletic even went so far as to say that a medical had been scheduled, stating that “should everything go according to plan, the 24-year-old will travel for a medical this week ahead of a proposed move to Goodison Park.” Talks have progressed with both clubs about Lindstrom joining on an initial loan with an option to buy.

But once again, the Italian media is responsible for this most recent one, with TuttoSport being the most recent to offer an update on the Toffees.

However, their attention is on Arkadiusz Milik, with whom the Toffees have already begun negotiations to sign, rather than Lindstrom’s Everton move.

They say that talks are continuing and that the Toffees enquired about his services as recently as last week. However, they may have opposition from Brentford and West Ham United in the Premier League.

Juventus is just seeking about €8 million (£6 million).

Who is Arkadiusz Milik?

This 30-year-old striker began his career in his native Poland and has since travelled the globe, scoring goals with consistency wherever he has played.

But his time with Napoli, Ajax, and Marseille were especially impressive, as the 6′ 1″ striker showed off his propensity for consistently finding the net and connecting the play with his excellent physique.

Because of his quick mobility, ability to create and score goals, and versatility on the front line, the forward can play alongside another striker or all over the pitch. His special qualities were highlighted when journalist Robin Bairner praised him for having the capacity to produce “a moment of magic” to win games for his club.

This is the kind of player that Everton needs.

Given that he is in the top 12% for overall shots per 90, the top 13% for shot-creating actions per 90, and the top 7% for interceptions per 90, it is understandable why Sean Dyche would want him as well.

If Kevin Thelwell can convince the Serie A star to accept reasonable salary, this may be a pretty smart move. The player is a constant threat who can press, lead, and attack.
