Everton withdraws its appeal against the two-point deduction in the EPL
Everton has decided to withdraw their appeal against a two-point deduction for exceeding spending caps.
When an independent regulatory commission punished the Toffees last month, they first made the decision to appeal the decision.
But according to a statement on their official X page, Everton Football Club has withdrawn its appeal of the Premier League independent commission’s decision to deduct two points from the club’s score for violating the league’s sustainability and profitability regulations for the June 2023 accounting period.
There will be no hearing at the hearing later this month, and the club will finish the 2023–24 Premier League season with a two-point deduction.
With 37 points, 11 points above of the bottom three, and guaranteed survival in the Premier League, Everton enters their final two games in 15th place.
