During Everton’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspurs on Saturday, former Toffees star Richarlison scored a brace.
In the closing minutes of Everton’s match against Spurs at Goodison Park on Saturday, they were able to steal a point. Making it two games without a loss, a 2-2 draw was an enormous result.
Joe Cole praised Everton after the draw revealed several of the team’s strengths and ruled out the possibility that the Toffees would be relegated this season.
In the end, Spurs didn’t have many opportunities, so they should consider themselves fortunate to have drawn even, especially because Richarlison used some magical moments to score a brace.
The Brazilian is now being praised for both his accomplishments and his regard for Goodison Park.
Richarlison showed good respect to Everton fans after scoring on Saturday
Garth Crooks mentioned Richarlison and commended the respect he showed Everton when writing about his team of the week on the BBC Sport website.
“Not only did he play brilliantly in the 3-2 victory over Brentford, but he also scored two goals in the 2-2 draw with Everton four days later, and his behavior toward his former team was the most respectful I have ever seen in a football player.”
Richarlison not only understood the importance of the goals, but also the potentially disastrous impact they would have on Everton’s future.
“It was as respectful as it gets when he put his hands together and made an apologetic bow to the Gwladys Street End.”
After scoring, Richarlison appeared to be almost apologizing to the Gwladys Street End supporters. This is probably due to his awareness of the potential effects his aims may have on the club’s future.
Richarlison Everton Goal Record
Although he is currently scoring goals for Spurs, he was previously making plays for Everton.
During his tenure at Everton, Richarlison participated in 152 matches and netted 53 goals while dishing out 14 assists.
He is a player who, as demonstrated by his weekend celebrations, obviously has a great deal of affection for Everton.
The 48-cap Brazilian international has struggled since being transferred for £60 million, but he has just started to demonstrate why he was worth so much in the first place.
