Undoubtedly, Frank Lampard’s time as Everton’s manager was not without its ups and downs.

After assuming control during the January transfer window, the former Chelsea manager assisted in saving the Toffees in 2022.

But last season swiftly went south, and Sean Dyche was brought in to keep the Toffees afloat during their second straight battle against the bottom.

One of Everton’s previous players has sent the 45-year-old some warm words despite his recent lackluster play.

Conor Coady makes ‘honest’ Frank Lampard claim

Conor Coady stated in an interview with the Rest is Football Podcast that playing under the Chelsea great was “amazing.”

“Frank Lampard was incredible when we spoke. He was quite intelligent. Sincerely, Coady said to the podcast Rest is Football.

“People focus on his time at Everton and how it ended, but I thought he was amazing as a person, and he helped me both as a football player and as a person.

“I considered him a bit of a hero when I was younger, so it was an honor to be able to play under him at that time.”

Will Frank Lampard manage again?

Lampard made a wise decision in possibly taking a break from the game.

After taking Graham Potter’s place in West London, the 45-year-old’s return to Stamford Bridge didn’t go as expected, as he only managed one victory.

Following the conclusion of his second stint at Chelsea, Lampard stated he was not eager to get back in the dugout.

He stated on the CEO Diary podcast: “It’s difficult to say.” “Join the punditry, it’s easy, put your feet up,” is a common advice.

“Working and being a coach is what gets my blood flowing and gives me enjoyment.” Consequently, it is my goal.

“I’m not in a rush to finish it right now. The truth is that given the results for Everton and Chelsea, I should probably take my time and see what other opportunities present themselves.

This is a wise decision. Too frequently, managers return to their positions unprepared and repeat past errors; Michael Beale’s time at Sunderland serves as a prime example.

As Lampard collects his thoughts and considers his next course of action, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him soon lined up for another position.
