Jarrad Branthwaite will no longer be an Everton player next season as he wants to leave.

The 21-year-old’s tenure at Goodison Park, in the opinion of the former Everton scout, is almost up.

This is true even though Branthwaite recently stated that he is only focused on the Toffees in the face of rumors that he would be joining Manchester United (via Liverpool Echo, 7 April).

After Goodison Park on April 6, the center back defeated Burnley 1-0. He added, “You just have to block it all out.” I believe that concentrating on external factors can divert your attention from your responsibilities on the field.

“Right now, I just want to win games for Everton Football Club until the end of the season.”

But King, who is only speaking to Goodison News, believes that supporters shouldn’t take this too seriously.

According to King, Branthwaite is not saying anything inappropriate.

He ought to be concentrating on Everton, but it sounds like he is a player who is aware that this summer will be his summer off.

“It’s easy to talk about things, but I believe he knows a transfer is imminent. For him, that means keeping his nose clean and his head down until the summer, when a deal will be done.”

Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite has asked to quit Goodison Park this summer

With all the problems surrounding Everton, keeping hold of Branthwaite could prove very difficult.

He has been one of the Premier League’s most impressive centre-backs this season and will have attracted plenty of interest from around Europe.
