Just in: Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen has been paired on the cards with one key factor in the way….

A potential combination between Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso is contingent upon one crucial element.

Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen are expected to pair up, but there is a major obstacle in their path. Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso want to work together in the future.
Although Max Verstappen is eager to race at Le Mans, he has some doubts.

Max Verstappen has previously stated that he would like to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with buddy and two-time world champion Fernando Alonso. But in order for the Red Bull athlete to move into endurance racing, he argues that the series must “figure out” the balance of power (BoP) rules.

The three-time Formula One champion has repeatedly expressed his goal to compete in sports car and endurance racing series before his peak racing years come to an end.

Given the difficult relationships and internal dynamics at Red Bull and the fact that his contract is set to expire in 2028, it would make sense for him to test out the premier event of the World Endurance Championship at this time. Verstappen might even agree to participate in races between Formula One Grand Prix weekends if the race falls in between those weekends.

The Dutchman is still worried, though. He clarified, saying, “You have to collaborate with your teammates to try and find the proper compromise with the set-up. It’s not just you. I’ve been keeping a close eye on it occasionally, and you also have a few chats.

However, I believe that it is currently too early for me to compete because of the new regulations, which also seem to need some improvement in the BOP between the cars. I find that it can be a little hit-or-miss at times.

Verstappen also expressed worry about the disadvantage that his weight would give him over drivers who are lighter. He went on, “I think there should be a limit on that.” “Because there is a driver who may be 55 or 60 years old, and I might show up weighing 80 kg with my gear.

“It seems like there is no chance when you get to Le Mans. You are aware that it is only a few tenths of a lap. The difference is rather amazing. Thus, they must resolve that. There must be a minimum or average weight that you must adhere to. However, I would definitely like to race in the future because it’s a fantastic event.
