Ferrari has made an announcement. HP Becomes New F1 Team Title Sponsor
The Ferrari Formula 1 team and American technology behemoth HP have agreed a historic, long-term title sponsorship agreement.
Hewlett Packard will become Ferrari’s new title partner, renaming the official team Scuderia Ferrari HP in a “multi-year” contract.
The American technology company’s iconic blue emblem will appear on Ferrari’s F1 livery beginning with next week’s Miami Grand Prix, as well as its team uniform and overalls. The title branding agreement will also apply to Ferrari’s F1 Academy and esports activities.
“Our founder instilled in us an unwavering will to progress. This fuels our desire to develop on the road and on the track, as well as our commitment to a sustainable future, from carbon neutrality to education for the next generation,” stated Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna.
“HP shares our principles, making it a perfect partner. We are excited to begin working together and take on new chances and challenges.”
Enrique Lores, Vigna’s HP counterpart, added: “With technology, performance, and extraordinary craftsmanship driving the future, HP and Ferrari’s cooperation is a perfect fit.
“Both brands have long, rich histories. We will also be able to reach new audiences, generate business growth, and make a long-term difference for our common clients and communities as a result of this unique relationship. Together, we will use the global racing stage to accelerate sustainable innovation.
Along with a branding agreement, HP will provide Ferrari with a variety of services, including computers, printers, and other hardware, as well as conference technologies.
Although Hewlett Packard has a presence in F1 at Mercedes, the Brackley team’s partner, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, which concentrates on cloud and networking solutions, differs from the consumer-oriented HP. In 2015, the two HP divisions were separated into two distinct corporations.
Ferrari revealed earlier this week that it would incorporate blue into a one-off Miami livery.
To commemorate the Maranello marque’s 70th anniversary in the American market, the SF24 of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will be updated with two new blue shades: Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino.
