Breaking News: Reason’s for Ferrari’s interest in Mercedes drivers revealed.

The movement of Hamilton from Mercedes to Ferrari is no longer a new story, as the world at large is aware of the development. However, a move by another Mercedes driver to Ferrari has been announced.

Although, this has thrown the whole world into confusion, if one may ask, why is Lewis Hamilton  moving to Ferrari? Is Ferrari making him a better offer than Mercedes, and if so, why doesn’t Mercedes just equal the amount Ferrari is offering? Is Ferrari expected to have better technology than Mercedes, and if so, why?

Let’s see if the following details clear the air.

  • Development and performance.

Whether this is true or not, Lewis Hamilton and Russell both believe that their opinions about the course of automotive development were ignored. Hamilton claimed that his background should be taken into consideration and expressed frustration at being disregarded.

Also,it seems that Ferrari and Lewis have been very transparent. describing the organizational adjustments Vasseur made to the team in order to overcome Ferrari’s inadequacies and outlining the current status of the plans for 2025 and 2026, with a focus on the engine department. Lewis has probably seen what Mercedes has in store, and the comparison hasn’t stopped him from moving, at the very least.

In another development, the way Mercedes has consistently insisted that they have a thorough grasp of their performance problems only to be perplexed by an unanticipatedly poor result (as recently as Brazil 2023) has got to raise some questions. Plus, this is just my view. Ferrari, meanwhile, has come a lot closer to matching Red Bull’s pace despite their dismal results.

What about the other problem? The brief Mercedes agreement.

In 2023, Hamilton was rumored to be seeking a five-year contract extension as well as a ten-year position as Mercedes’ “ambassador” following the conclusion of his racing career. Rather, the outcome was a two-year agreement that either party might terminate after one year.

It appears that Hamilton and Ferrari are getting closer to his goals. Although reports seem to be conflicting—some claim a 1+1 year contract, others a 2+1—it appears Lewis has locked down a position for when his driving career comes to an end. Most likely a position as an ambassador for Ferrari, but there also seems to be a link to Hamilton’s own Mission 44 foundation and/or +44 apparel line.

The Ferrari Elements.

It is well known that Lewis has expressed a desire to drive for Ferrari, and that, given his current career trajectory, this is now or never. He’s already had a lot of success with Mercedes. He still gets to realize his dream of driving a Ferrari F1 team, win or lose.

Some additional information regarding the relocation.

The revelation was first reported by journalists from Formula one, who also hosted a broadcast where they provided more details.

It’s not just Lewis Hamilton who is going to Ferrari. His appointment will pave the way for the entry of other engineers from rival teams, including Mercedes and others, at Ferrari. There will be some engineer transfers to Ferrari. Vettel came to Maranello alone, a mistake Lewis Hamilton will not repeat. Lewis is bringing a large group with him. That also matters to Ferrari.
There is little doubt that Ferrari would be delighted to have Peter Bonnington (Bono) on board. The ultimate say in the matter rests with Bonnington. He is an excellent race and performance engineer who can benefit the squad with his expertise and strong mental faculties. That would be crucial for Ferrari, particularly during hard times.
The news that Lewis Hamilton has joined Ferrari makes Charles Leclerc very delighted. He’s been aware of it for a while, and he’s excited to be facing an admirable multiple world champion. Lewis Hamilton also has the opportunity to teach him a great deal. being far more adept at handling his tires than Lewis Hamilton. Charles is able to take anything.
Lewis Hamilton’s contract is for two years plus one year, whereas Charles Leclerc’s is for two years plus two years. 2026 will be a significant year. The most advanced teams using the 2026 engine are Mercedes and Ferrari.
Lewis Hamilton made a win-win decision. He has already achieved everything, and now he plans to try and make history even more by leading Ferrari to a world championship. His career will conclude wearing the red outfit. This is remarkable, just in terms of promotion for Ferrari. In terms of money, it’s historic. The idea is interesting even in terms of sports. There are benefits for F1 from this transfer.
Three weeks ago, Ferrari devised their backup plan, which involved signing world champion driver Lewis Hamilton to partner with Charles Leclerc. Chairman John Elkann had a strong ambition, and this is arguably the greatest deal in Formula One history. The Leclerc/Hamilton combination appears to be a strong advantage for Ferrari. The decision appears to be very marketing-driven, but it is actually very technical since Elkann/Vasseur wants the team to expand.
The Sainz group was hoping to extend its contract, therefore it is upset. It’s going to be difficult for him to strike the correct balance because he will be working with people who didn’t fully believe in him this year. However, he will put everything on the line for Ferrari in 2024 since he will need to win over the other players. Although Lewis Hamilton was available, Ferrari jumped at the chance to sign him, and Carlos has done a fantastic job at the team.
