The World’s Fastest Gamer hopefuls aim to race their way into the season three finals with Gear.Club

SILVERSTONE, England /CNW/ July 24, 2020 –The next opportunity for prospective racers hoping to follow in the footsteps of World’s Fastest Gamer season two winner James Baldwin, who is set to make his professional racing debut next week, is now available on mobile devices thanks to Gear.Club.

Next week, Baldwin will compete in the British GT Championship in a McLaren 720s GT3 for the first time, driving for Jenson Team Rocket RJN, which is co-owned by former Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button.

In the tournament organized by Engine Media last October, the British player defeated nine other competitors to win a real-world race worth over US$1 million.

The enormous mobile racing game Gear.Club, which is accessible on both the Apple iOS and Android platforms, is hosting the second round of World’s Fastest Gamer season three qualifying today. This is being done by Engine Media’s game company, Eden Games.

In addition, competitors will have the opportunity to race a computer-generated replica of the player’s McLaren in an attempt to advance to the season-three championship in honor of Baldwin’s impending debut. Today until August 16 is the second qualifying session for the competition.

Thousands of players competed in the inaugural Gear.Club qualifier earlier this year, hoping to show off their skills and advance to the finals. It was an enormous success.

In the first qualifying round, players traveled an astounding 5.4 million miles, or the equivalent of seven round-trips to the moon. 424,680 qualifying laps were done in an attempt to win this highly sought-after, potentially life-altering award.

We are thrilled for James to be making his debut as the World’s Fastest Gamer champion, but we are also eager to witness the fierce competition on Gear.Club as players attempt to try to follow in his footsteps, said Darren Cox, co-CEO of Engine Media and the man behind World’s Fastest Gamer.

We decided it was the ideal time to choose the McLaren 720s as the preferred car for the upcoming qualifying and enter it in the game wearing the same livery because James is set to compete in British GT.

We eagerly anticipate discovering the background of our upcoming finalist.

The World’s Fastest Gamer season three finals will ultimately feature ten competitors. We’ll shortly have information on the remaining qualifying tournaments. The current COVID-19 pandemic has caused a delay in information on the World’s Fastest Gamer season three finals, including location and timing.

We tested the racers both online and on track over a 10-day ‘driver’s dream’ trip to California last year, Cox added.

The World’s Fastest Gamer season three finals have several concepts, but they have been postponed because of the current travel restrictions throughout the world.

We are confident that the wait will be worthwhile because there are some amazing chances waiting for the ten finalists to come together.

The goal of the World’s Fastest Gamer is to compile the greatest players in the industry, regardless of whether they like to play on mobile, console, or PC.

Prospective finalists can download Gear.Club by going to the Google Play store for Android or the Apple iOS store by clicking here.

Baldwin will be at Oulton Park on August 1-2 to watch the opening round of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship alongside fellow British racer Michael O’Brien. The six-part World’s Fastest Gamer season two documentary series, which aired on the ESPN network in the US, recently highlighted the British gamer’s struggle to win the title of World’s Fastest Gamer.

The gamer-to-racer competition’s second season is still available to watch on the ESPN app for US citizens.
