Breaking news: Holger Rune’s former head coach revealed why he parted ways from him….

Over the past year, Rune has worked with a number of instructors; Becker is the most recent to decide to part ways with the 20-year-old. The two started working together in October of last year, and although it was first a trial arrangement, their connection seemed to have potential.

Then, in November, Becker declared that he would be collaborating with Rune in the near future.

Their collaboration has now ended, though, as the German acknowledges that personal and professional obligations are getting in the way.

Head coach Becker is stepping down with “immediate effect.” “I would like to inform you that I will stand down as the head coach of Holger Rune with immediate effect,” he wrote on X, the platform that was briefly known as Twitter.

Our original objective when we began this cooperation was to make it to the ATP Finals at the end of the previous year, but as time went on, I realized that in order for this to succeed, I would need to be accessible to Holger far more often than I can.

It has been announced that Boris Becker is leaving his role as Holger Rune’s coach. The former tennis player said on social media that there would be a “immediate effect” to the split.

I’m unable to provide Holger with what he needs right now because of work and personal obligations. I will always be his biggest admirer and I wish him nothing but the best. I was really grateful for our adventure together. BB.

Becker’s first significant assignment following his release from prison was as Rune’s head coach.

The former Wimbledon champion has made it clear that he is eager to put the past behind him and return to his tennis career.

He recently completed eight months of a two-and-a-half-year sentence for concealing financial assets and debts.

His relationship with Rune got off to a good start, and it seemed like Becker was helping the Danish star get better.

He was defeated by Arthur Cazaux in the competition’s second round, though, as he struggled in the first Grand Slam of the year.

Since then, Rune has made an effort to get back on track ahead of the Middle East and Sunshine Double.

Earlier this month, he advanced to the Round of 16 of the Open Sud de France but was forced to quit against Borna Coric, even though he was leading 7-5, 6-2 at the time.
