Zian Flemming had a very successful first season with Millwall in 2022–2023; in fact, he was strongly linked to a summer transfer to Burnley.
Several approaches from the Clarets were turned down for the attacker because the Lions insisted on receiving £15 million in exchange for their player.
That never materialized, and Flemming continued to play for Millwall, where he was mediocre but not as good as he had been during the previous campaign.
That hasn’t stopped potential suitors, though, as Ipswich Town and a few Spanish teams are reportedly investigating the possibility of signing the Dutchman this summer, according to London News Online.
According to reports, the 25-year-old’s contract at The Den is set to expire in a year, with the option for Millwall to pick up a further 12 months.
However, Flemming’s management is reportedly eager to get him out of the Championship club this summer. If so, Millwall will need to find a competent successor, and Davis Keillor-Dunn, a former transfer target, could be a good fit.
