Manager Kieran McKenna of Ipswich Town says he will need to evaluate the health of “one or two players” before tomorrow’s pivotal match at Portman Road against Huddersfield Town.

The Blues’ hectic final week of the regular season began with a thrilling 3-3 draw at Hull on Saturday night, then a nail-biting 2-1 victory against Coventry on Tuesday night.

Due to such outcomes, Town’s only chance to secure back-to-back promotions to the Premier League is a point against a team that is almost relegated in tomorrow’s season finale.

Harry Clarke was sidelined with a knee injury, Wes Burns, who had just returned from a hamstring injury, went off with cramps in the middle of the week, and Leif Davis rolled his ankle against Hull before taking a few kicks at Coventry.

“As you would expect at this point in the season, especially after two quick games, we have a few knocks and niggles,” McKenna stated.”In the morning, we will evaluate one or two.

“As of right now, none of our players have long-term injuries that would prevent them from playing right away, but we do have a few players who are dealing with some issues that could affect how many minutes they can play or how involved they are tomorrow.

“On Saturday morning, we will review all of those choices to make sure our team is sufficiently rested and prepared to execute.”

Janoi Donacien is the only player with a long-term injury; he just had surgery to address an adductor problem.
