With his girlfriend Jutta Leerdam, Jake Paul softens and forgets about his altercation with Mike Tyson.

Jake Paul and Johanna Leerdam don’t hold back from showing their love for one another. Their one-year anniversary was no different.

The captivating pair used social media to communicate poignant messages with their followers, leaving them in awe of their unwavering bond.

Paul chose to create a collage of sentimental photos documenting their journey together, while Leerdam shared a sweet video of the couple dancing together.

“It’s been so much fun spending a year with you,” Paul wrote.

“I’ve been in love for a long time, yet the tale and memories are still young.

“Hey sweetie, mi amor, how did I ever get so lucky? You make my rainy days feel sunny, my wacky little Dutchie. Here’s to many more, my sweetheart.”

Paul displayed his literary side with a beautifully penned rhyme, and Leerdam endearingly called him “the man with the best heart” in her charming caption.

The rumors about the engagement

Their story of love started in late 2022, and since going public a few months later, they have become a global sensation, winning over followers all over the world with their practically constant presence.

Even though there are only rumors of an engagement, their public demonstrations of love on their special day surely encourage conjecture that they will soon get married.

After going professional in 2018, Leerdam swiftly established herself in the world of speed skating. Her early achievements were noteworthy; in 2017, she took home two gold medals from the World Junior Championships.

Her career took off after that, and she went on to win numerous gold medals in competitions such as the European Championships, the World Sprint Championships, the World Singles Distances Championships, and the World Championships.

In the 2022 Olympics, she added another medal to her collection as she won a silver in the 1000m competition.

Canelo Alvarez’s acceptance of the Benavidez fight may depend on Oscar De La Hoya.

“Mexican Monster” will never face the undefeated super middleweight champion.

Despite Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’s unwavering declaration that he does not wish to face David Benavidez, the fight is still possible due to Oscar de la Hoya’s involvement.

Maybe it’s the way he’s disrespectfully asked for a chance or the fact that he poses a genuine risk to his career. Perhaps he’s afraid that Benavidez, another Mexican fighter, would use him as a stepping stone and surpass him.

Oscar de la Hoya flaunts his new home and lets money talk as he moves in with his fiancée.

In any case, even though Benavidez was named by the World Boxing Council (WBC) as Canelo’s obligatory opponent, Alvarez is not excited about the bout.

Beyond any sort of challenge or sporting worth, it appears that Benavidez would need a patron to sponsor him by paying the sum Alvarez is requesting. The Guadalajara boxer set a huge figure for him only to accept a fight.

Canelo would have rather faced Jaime Munguia on May 4; although Munguia is a better athlete, he is not as well-known as the “Mexican Monster.”

What Oscar De La Hoya did

The man who is in charge of making the transaction happen is none other than De la Hoya, the former boxer turned promoter.

Despite his poor rapport with Canelo’s squad, he is skilled at pulling the right threads to give the Mexican champion the finger. In the past, he said that if Golden Boy Promotions had been in charge of Benavidez, the negotiations for the bout would have already been completed.

“It would have been a different narrative by now if David Benavidez had been with me at Golden Boy,” De la Hoya stated in an interview with ABN Sports Media.

“We would have thrashed the drums earlier, accompanied David to Mexico, confronted Canelo, and pounded on doors.”

What makes Canelo Alvarez want to avoid a bout with Benavidez?

Golden Boy admitted that Canelo is unwilling to fight Benavidez because of the exorbitant fee he demanded in order to seal the deal:

“I believe a boxer is not interested in fighting if he sets a high price for a battle. The basic line is that,” he continued. “I don’t know how the WBC permitted that, considering Benavidez has long been the required opponent.”
