Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have officially announced their divorce after four years of marriage. The couple issued a joint statement on September 6, 2023, describing their decision to split as mutual and amicable, requesting privacy during this time.

However, the situation has become more complicated with legal disputes over the custody of their two daughters, Willa and Delphine. Sophie Turner filed a lawsuit accusing Joe Jonas of “wrongful retention” of their children, claiming he is refusing to return their passports and preventing their relocation to England. Joe, on the other hand, argues that the children have lived primarily in the U.S. and is seeking shared custody, asserting that moving them to England permanently would violate a Florida court order that restricts relocation without consent from both parents.

The dispute intensified after Joe filed for divorce on September 5, 2023, citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.” The couple had agreed to keep the children with Joe while Sophie was filming, but she claims this was meant to be a temporary arrangement.

Following his recent divorce from Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas has been focusing on his solo music career. He is set to release his new solo album, “Music for People Who Believe in Love,” on October 18, 2024. This marks his first full-length solo project since 2011’s “Fastlife.” His lead single, “Work It Out,” was released on July 19, and the album features a mix of personal and introspective songs, touching on themes such as love, fatherhood, and self-improvement.

For the next phase of his career, Joe Jonas is going it alone. The 34-year-old singer has performed with both DNCE, which consists of Jack Lawless, JinJoo Lee, and Cole Whittle, and the Jonas Brothers, which includes his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas.

The father of two is talking about his next solo album, which he said will be published later this year, with the release of his single “Work It published,” which is scheduled for release on July 19.

In an interview with the podcast Therapuss With Jake Shane, Joe discussed receiving his brothers’ “blessings” in order to pursue his solo music career.

“I begged the blessings of my brothers. I said to myself, “Hey, I’m going to work on something on my own. I don’t feel like it’s DNCE,” and I didn’t want to name it solo. And I just need to go express a few things for myself,” Joe said. “And they say, ‘Leap forward.'” Nick reserved a film. Kevin intended to participate in a second season of Claim to Fame. hence I had the window of opportunity.”

According to Joe, this next album is his most introspective creation to date. His brothers Nick and Kevin helped him with the album’s production and urged him to go solo. This initiative, which highlights his experiences and growth over the previous few years, marks a new chapter in his career.
