Upon its release on Tuesday, Vice President Kamala Harris’s initial video to her supporters following the election shocked online fans.
In the video, which was uploaded by the official X account of the Democratic Party, Harris addressed disenchanted fans who were affected by the recent election.
Keep your power for yourself; I feel compelled to remind you of this. Your strength and purpose remain unchanged as before November 5th. Your capacity to captivate and motivate others is comparable. “So, never allow anybody or anything to strip you of your authority,” Harris advised.
The appearance of Harris in the DC Examiner was generating a lot of talk among X users. In response, Kimberly Ross asked, “Is this a…joke?” I hate this video. “Wow.” video, remarking on how the vice president appeared to be “off” and expressing shock that it had been made public.
“I’m not sure you guys want to be amplifying this. There’s something, ummmm, amiss with the vice president,” Fox News contributor Joe Concha said.
OutKick columnist Mary Katharine Ham noted, “When you surrender your phone to someone to police your social media posts when y’all go hard, you wanna hand it to someone who likes you.”
Senior National Review Online writer Dan McLaughlin remarked, “No film like this would ever have been broadcast by a politician who is not detested by her staff.”
“The joy is gone,” the Republican Committee of Prince William County surmised.
Former Trump White House advisor Ben Williamson stated, “I’d read a 5,000 word article on how this got approved for release.”
“They wouldn’t allow her go on @joerogan but they let her do this,” American Principles Project president Terry Schilling commented with a facepalm emoji.
“Who thought this was a good idea? Who is this for? What is this for? What is she even saying? Once again, I will stress that we are run by imbeciles,” Atlantic contributing writer Tyler Austin Harper mused.
National Review senior political correspondent Jim Geraghty stated, “Besides the, er, vibe of flammability, the message ‘don’t let anyone steal your power from you’ is maybe less than ideal as a motif during the peaceful transition of power.”

The footage apparently comes from a conversation Harris held with funders and volunteers earlier today where she addressed her election loss for the first time since surrendering to President-elect Donald Trump.
“The outcome of this election definitely is not what we intended. It is not what we fought so hard for. But I am proud of the race we ran, and your role in this was important. What we did in 107 days was unprecedented,” Harris remarked.
Harris has generally been out of the spotlight since the election and has been vacationing in Hawaii with second gentleman Doug Emhoff since last week.
