Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Patrick Mahomes, is known for supporting the NFL star at his games.
Yet, following Patrick‘s victory in the Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills with the Kansas City Chiefs, Jackson faced negative responses on X after writing “THATS MY BRO BRO!!!
“Shut up! And stay away from the team. Don’t tweet about the team either,” a user wrote.
Another added: “Go to the pit loser”.
Sparked controversy amid sexual battery allegations
Charges of severe sexual battery against Jackson Mahomes, which were related to an event in 2023, were just dismissed.
After the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in February 2023, Mahomes came under fire on social media for the case.
Jackson was accused of assaulting a waiter and kissing someone without consent. His attorneys refuted the claims, pointing out that the proof consisted only of one video clip.
His preliminary hearing, which was originally scheduled for August 2023 after he was arrested in May 2023 on a $100,000 bond, was moved to January 2024.
The Mahomes family has mainly kept quiet while the purported victim’s business faltered and shut down.
Following his arrest, Jackson took a break from social media, but he has since returned, albeit with less engagement on sites like TikTok.
To get to Super Bowl LVIII, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will try to win the AFC Championship Game on the road once more.
