At a press conference, Stacey Graves, the chief of police in Kansas City, announced that one individual had died, who had been recognized as a DJ by her radio station.

She added that weapons had been found and that three people had been placed under arrest.

Police withheld information regarding the individuals detained, potential reasons behind the shootings, and types of weapons that may have been used right away.

At Children’s Mercy Kansas City, Stephanie Meyer, senior vice president and chief nursing officer, stated that every injured child is anticipated to fully recover.

I want to emphasize that we have treated 12 patients, 11 of whom are minors with nine gunshot wounds, she said to reporters. None of those patients are in serious condition, and we anticipate that all of them will fully recover.
