Motives allegedly behind Lyndell Mays shooting at the crowd during the Chiefs parade

The 23-year-old is suspected of being the catalyst for Lyndell Mays’ shooting at the crowd when the Chiefs were being escorted by police.

Before the horrifying event occurred, Aman, who is accused of shooting fans during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade, told authorities he was just being foolish.

Aman is now facing murder charges.Police have charged Lyndell Mays, 23, and Dominic Miller, 18, further, and they have detained two minors on allegations of possessing a firearm and resisting arrest. Additionally, investigators now know more about the initial cause of the gunshots.

More information about how the Super Bowl celebration descended into a gunfight was revealed in court documents that were released on Tuesday.

The event, which resulted in the death of Lisa Lopez Gavlan, 43, and numerous injuries, was started by a fight between Mays and Miller.

He “moved toward a group of people he had been arguing with, according to May. However, the accused gunman claims in the records that he was just being foolish, implying that he had no intention of the situation getting out of control.

Prosecutors said on Tuesday that the two men got into a fight before the shooting happened in front of hundreds of spectators during the march.

Both men were carrying weapons. According to court documents, Mays’s female acquaintance informed police that the opposing group of people wanted to know why Mays was staring at them.

Mays started arguing with the group while at the parade with two pals, as per a probable cause statement published by The New York Post.

Court filings allege that Mays was observed on surveillance tape pointing his finger at the group and approaching them in an aggressive manner.

The records said Mays indicated the other person started shooting immediately after he  shot first.
